You Have a PS3 Yellow Light Flashing? – What it Means and How to Fix It

Learning how to fix a PS3 yellow light flashing error can prove to be a very valuable skill. You can either send your console to Sony or you can fix it yourself. No matter which you choose, the repair procedure is the same and you only have to make a few minor adjustments. I will discuss those procedures right now in this article. Best and the Fastest Fix The PS3 yellow light flashing occurs for 2 main reasons: 1. The first reason and most common reason why a PS3 yellow light flashes is that it is overheating. This may have occurred because of the conditions under which the console is being used or may have occurred even if you have been playing for hours. The best way to troubleshoot this is to pull the PS3 out from the closed cabinet in which it is kept and let it cool down. Make sure to check the vents on the console for any obvious air circulation issues. If you see that the air vents are not blocked or even covered by dirt, dust or grime then you can probably stop it from overheating. 2. Second and probably the most common reason is that the solder joints on the motherboard have fragmented and cracked. With this type of error it is more difficult to find the solder joints and clean them up and fix the problem. It kind of takes the will power of the repair technician to accomplish this and you may have to send it to Sony if your warranty is expired. Clean it up and Seperate the Board While you are in the process of repairing the yellow light on your PS3 you may have to fix some other issues as well. The best example of this is a error that results in the display of the red screen of death. This error is also a result of a cracked or broken solder joint. But of course the good news is that you can easily fix this issue and Seperate the Copper Board. Usually the solder joints you are going to remove are those which control the soldering process and are called cold solder joints. There are several ways on how to fix this fault, but the most difficult and complicated method is using a heat gun. You need to have a heat gun which has a long cord with which you can reach all the way from the sensor bar, up to the motherboard. Look out for the following things The number indicates the method of attack: -8 or 9- The method uses a heat gun for the purposes. Excellent Methods uses a heat gun with no cooling system or rinse and repeat. For this method you can use a heat gun liquid cooling system, which means you can gun altogether to heat the solder right after you have passed the joint. Use a heat gun to heat the solder at several places. After passing the joint, ignore the gun quite for a while, and then continue gunning. A flow or continuous flow of hot air around the solder joints can cause them to crack, thus giving you the flow solder. But this method can also give the solder on the chips on the motherboard to flow, thus may as well cause another fault. Use another heat gun, but at least make sure that there is a heat gun at each end of the arc because when you alternate the heat guns over, one may go on to heat the solder where it overlaps and another one may go on to heat the solder where it doesn’t. After applying the heat you may need to cool the solder with a hair dryer or if the solder has absorbed too much heat from the surroundings in the same time, then you must open the heat gun’s basket for cooling or transfer to another location. Continue until you achieve a consistency in the solder that is similar to that seen with the first time. The direction varies from circuit to circuit. Do not get to close to the board because it may cause trouble, it needs a good tip and knowledge on how to solder. After forming a texasroyal168

The PlayStation 3 requires a power outlet of at least 110v AC yet it is optional whether your unit should have it or not. Before soldering, you must make sure that you have adequate power to come up with a 110v power outlet. Use a Fatty Drink. Want it to cool faster? Aim it at the console or the wall mount. The PlayStation 3 requires off to the most part room temperature and a room foot temperature of around 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit. You want the temperature to continue to stay warm so that electronics work easier and not get damaged. Are you wearing leather like gloves or stockings? Want to solder on skin contact or a cloth in the same vein?
