Which Zones Are Best For Mining in WoW?

At first glance, the new capabilities of the Mining profession in World of Warcraft may seem like a grand gimmick. True, there are only three new professions to learn – Engineering, Enchanting, and Jewelcrafting – and all but Engineering can be learned at level eighty. Add in the Jewelcrafting, and there are a total of six new professions, bringing the number of viable professions to thirteen. Mining certainly has its advantages. Once a player figures out which node they want to mine, they can get a hold of a map that shows nodes in every zone. But the map is only a guide to where mining nodes are. The character that finds the node can also find out what the node pots are in, including both experience points and additional ore information. All of the different locations, including the new Northrend locations, are profitable mining nodes. And all a player needs to do is know which area they want to work in. Although there are thirteen professions, each profession has its own advantages over one another. To get all the benefits of the new professions, though, a player still needs to make sure they know where to learn their skill from the start. Although it’s possible to level up through quests, the final method a player can use to increase their skill level is to purchase a skill from a trainer. Skill trainers can be found in every major city and every now and then in small towns close to the starting areas of every race. A skill from a trainer is not free, however.
